Paschim Vibhag Sarvajanik Navaratri Mandal is a one of the oldest Mandal in Dombivili, which started way back in 1964 with the small group of devotee’s singing bhajan that gradually grew into a Navaratri Mandal.
The Ten day celebration starts with Shree Devi Agamana Procession in the evening time joined by large number of devotees.
The first day Morning begins with Ganomha and Prana Pratishapana of Goddess Idol, followed by Maha Arti which continues every day twice till Dussera (Afternoon 12,30pm and Evening 8.30pm). Varied kind of pooja’s are performed all nine days like Mahapooja pooja , Sarva Seva, Flower pooja, Kumkumarchana and so on, Apart from this some special pooja like Ranga pooja is also performed on specific days.

The entire celebration follows Dakshina Karnataka Style and the most beautiful thing that mesmerize devotee’s is Shree Devi Shringara and Mandap Flower Decoration.
Shree Devi Anna Prasadam – The scared tradition of offering foods is served everyday in afternoon and evening to thousand of Devotee’s, considered symbol of blessing from Shree Durgaparmeshwari.
Haldikum for ladies is done on a specific day during Navaratri, also the main attraction is Bhajan seva, performed by all devotee’s irrespective of his caste, colour and creed.
On Ninth day evening, a well know folk dance drama art form originated from Dakshina Karnataka called has YAKSHAGANA BAYLATHA is played in front of thousand of devotee’s, this play narrate the story about Shree Devi wins over demon, signifies victory of good over evil.
Tenth day is Dussera, the day of Shree Devi Idol immersion, which is a grand procession carried out wherein various Art form, Dance form and Bhajans are performed by artist from pan India, more than 50000 devotees comes to watch diverse performance and certainly to have last glimpse of Shree Devi idol. Finally after Uttara pooja Idol is immersed in the river.
This 10 Days festival is celebrated with all zeal and enthusiasm, which is possible only because of PVSNM predecessor members blessings, and more importantly the dedicated efforts of more then 300 PVSNM Members/Volunteers ( young and old) who work relentlessly day and night with high spirit and selflessness.
